About the Role

Location: Brazil

Based in Washington, D.C., Quorum is the leading provider of workflow software and information services for government affairs professionals globally. We serve over 2,000 customers—including over 50% of the Fortune 100—across 30+ countries.

At Quorum, our "product" isn't just our software; it’s our people. We are looking for a 100% remote Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team—the engine behind Quorum’s AI strategy. This isn't just a coding role; it’s an opportunity to build the advanced AI solutions that help the world’s most influential organizations navigate the legislative landscape.

The Impact You’ll Have

As a Senior Engineer, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of features that impact thousands of clients. You will bridge the gap between complex datasets and intuitive user experiences, leveraging AI to automate the "administrative drag" of public affairs. You’ll be a key architect of our unified codebase, ensuring our tools remain reliable, efficient, and cutting-edge.

Your Journey at Quorum

- First Week: You’ll hit the ground running and ship your first piece of code to production.

- First Month: You’ll be working across the stack—from infrastructure and APIs to the UI.

- First Six Months: You’ll take full ownership of a feature set, making technical decisions that directly impact our global client base.

- First Year: You’ll help guide the team on broad technical decisions that shape our stack and the growth of the entire company.

About You

- The Expert: You have 7+ years of experience building software for end-users, with deep mastery of backend languages (we use Python/Django) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).

- AI-Forward: You are excited about the potential of artificial intelligence and want to design systems that leverage AI to solve real-world problems.

- A Designer & Builder: You don't just write code; you design complex systems, write technical documentation, and implement your vision.

- The "Owner" Mentality: You care deeply about the quality of your code and are committed to building the skills of those around you through mentorship and thoughtful code reviews.

- Self-Starter: You’re a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to pitch in wherever needed, from recruiting to customer support.

About the Software Development Team

- We’re a fast-growing team that is dedicated to improving our people, processes, and platform. The 100+ person team is composed of different functions including software engineering, Product Management, Product Design, QA, Devops/SRE and an Information Security team.

- We support many different products but internally think of them as one system with a single unified codebase. Our goal is to build centralized systems that handle complex problems for multiple features and products.

- We’re focused on doing the important things the right way -- we write solid documentation, test our code well, design for scale, and follow defined software development processes.

- We follow best-in-class security practices to safeguard our data and application against bad actors. We regularly test and update processes and technology to fight complacency, because we know good security is a continuous effort.

- We curate high-quality datasets that are essential for effective mapping and tracking of the government and public affairs spaces. Our datasets underpin our promise to give users the information necessary to make smart decisions that influence policy.

- We set rigorous quality standards and monitor them with a mix of programmatic and manual verifications to ensure users maintain a high degree of trust in our systems.

- We’re very close as a team and invest not only in each others’ skills and careers but also in building real relationships with one another: product development is a team sport and we believe that it’s better (and more fun) to work on a team of people that you know well and care about.

Our Work Environment

- We are an AI-forward team—AI is built into how we work, think, and grow.

- We are a remote-first team with flexible work options: work remotely, or you may choose to come into our office in Belo Horizonte.
