About the Role
At Protegrity, we lead innovation by using AI and quantum-resistant cryptography to transform data protection across cloud-native, hybrid, on-premises, and open source environments. We leverage advanced cryptographic methods such as tokenization, format-preserving encryption, and quantum-resilient techniques to protect sensitive data. As a global leader in data security, our mission is to ensure that data isn’t just valuable but also usable, trusted, and safe.
Protegrity offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and collaboration, with the ability to make a meaningful impact on the industry while working alongside some of the brightest minds. Together, we are redefining how the world safeguards data, enabling organizations to thrive in a GenAI era where data is the ultimate currency. If you're ready to shape the future of data security, Protegrity is the place for you.
About the Role
As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you operate as a senior technical leader and delivery enabler across our visual tools, UI Shells, and SaaS-like capabilities in the Front-End organization. You own and evolve complex, high‑impact UI systems and related Back-End services while shaping the standards, workflows, and release practices that allow teams to deliver reliably, consistently, and at scale across multiple products and pipelines.
This role is front-end focused with strong openness to full stack capabilities where they meaningfully improve architecture, reliability, performance, and delivery velocity. You bring deep expertise in modern Front‑End systems and apply Back-End knowledge to influence API design, data flows, authentication, and system behavior in ways that result in more resilient and cohesive user experiences.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a core member of the centralized Front-End organization, driving consistent, scalable branding, interaction patterns, and visual identity across a global portfolio of security products.
- Collaborate deeply with cross‑functional partners through engineering standups, sprint planning, design reviews, UX scrub sessions, demos, team forums, and 1:1s to ensure strong alignment, high quality, and predictable delivery.
- Demonstrate curiosity and practical adoption of agent‑based and AI‑assisted development tools, using automation and intelligent workflows to streamline development, improve reliability, and shift focus toward high‑leverage architectural and product work.
- Own and evolve shared Front‑End platforms and frameworks, driving architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps practices that enable reliable, scalable delivery across multiple products, pipelines, and teams.
- Set and uphold a high bar for functional, intuitive user experiences, delivering successful end‑to‑end user journeys while maintaining excellence in UI quality, WCAG 2.2 Level AA Accessibility, performance, security, and visual consistency at scale.
- Provide architectural leadership across UI and Back-End integration (APIs, auth, contracts, and operability) to ensure reliable UI solutions at scale.
- Set direction for next‑generation UI architecture in cloud environments (Azure, AWS), aligning Front‑End systems with cloud‑native design patterns, modern security standards, and operational practices.
- Identify and reduce friction across build, review, testing, and release workflows, driving durable improvements that enable predictable, low‑stress, repeatable release and operational practices at scale.
What You'll Need:
- 6+ years of experience in modern Front‑End engineering (HTML5, CSS/SASS, React.js, TypeScript), with complementary full‑stack experience in Back-End services, and databases.
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing client‑side security best practices to protect user data, application integrity, and trust.
- Ownership of shared systems and long‑term architectural decisions, with architectural leadership that balances Front‑End needs, Back-End constraints, and overall system reliability.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills, with experience working across global teams and flexibly navigating time zone constraints to support effective communication and delivery.
- Comfort with critical thinking and creative problem‑solving in complex system and architectural contexts.
- High competence in verbal and written communication is essential.
- Ability to multiply the abilities and skills of others.
Nice To Have:
- Experience working in data security focused environments and products.
- Experience using AI and ML to process data, prompts, and documents in support of intelligent, user focused product experiences. Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and applying natural language processing (NLP) concepts to enable effective human‑AI interaction.
- DevOps and operational experience supporting UI systems, including CI/CD pipelines, build and release automation, containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, environment management, monitoring, and production support.
- Experience with code quality inspection, security scanning, and monitoring tools such as JFrog Xray and SonarQube.
We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits with generous vacation and holiday time off. All employees are also provided access to ongoing learning & development.
