Research scientist

Whom are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven Research Scientist to lead innovative research programs in RNA-based therapeutics. This role combines scientific leadership with hands-on execution and strong team mentorship. You will drive research projects from concept to data delivery while actively supervising and developing junior laboratory staff. This is a high-impact position within a fast-growing biotech environment, ideal for a scientist who thrives in translating discovery into therapeutic innovation.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Lead the design, execution, and delivery of research projects aligned with company strategy.
• Establish and lead research initiatives spanning extracellular matrix remodeling and fibroblast biology, including development of relevant cellular models and evaluation of candidate therapeutic compounds.
• Define scientific hypotheses, design robust experimental plans, and ensure high-quality data generation.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technicians, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and best laboratory practices.
• Provide day-to-day scientific guidance, troubleshooting support and performance feedback to lab team members.
• Drive implementation of new methodologies and continuously improve experimental workflows.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to inform strategic decisions.
• Write and review SOPs to ensure reproducibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to publications, patents, and external scientific representation.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

What will you bring?

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, RNA Biology, Immunology or related discipline.
• Strong background in molecular and/or cellular biology, gene regulation, transcription, or cell signaling.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and supervising junior lab staff.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality experimental results in a result-driven environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Teamplayer cooperating in different projects and with various teams.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Flexibility in working in different projects (which may be short term or temporary).
• You live within a distance of approximately 50 kms from our premises.
