About the Role
Anthuria is bringing AI and hardware innovation to skilled nursing facilities, transforming how nurses and operators manage critical healthcare information. We use AI agents to turn overwhelming volumes of clinical notes into clear, actionable insights that immediately improve patient care, reimbursement and compliance. Founded a year ago and backed by a family office with deep healthcare expertise, we are already deployed in 180 facilities across 10+ states with paying customers.
We're building with experts from the industry who have joined the team. Our understanding of our users’ operations enables us to create products that become essential to our users' daily workflows in an industry where technological innovation has historically lagged.
At Anthuria, we foster a culture of collaboration, support, and curiosity. We assume best intentions, pursue technical excellence, and remain focused on delivering client value. As an early team member, you'll continuously shape not just our technical direction but our culture and practices as well. This is a rare opportunity to make a massive impact from the ground floor as we build something transformative in healthcare.
You Will
Design and build scalable backend systems: You will work across our backend and data infrastructure — EHR integrations, document processing pipelines, AI agent infrastructure, and the APIs our products are built on. As we expand our data universe beyond EHRs to new sources like wearables and voice-recorded notes, you will help build the ingestion and processing layers that turn diverse, real-time data into reliable signals for our AI and product teams. This includes building systems that make onboarding new EHR clients fast and generalizable, reducing manual setup through smarter automation. You bring strong system design instincts, write code that is robust and observable, and consistently balance speed of delivery with long-term maintainability.
Partner with clinical and technical teams: You will work closely with nurses, operators, and AI scientists to translate real-world clinical workflows and modeling needs into reliable backend systems. You communicate technical tradeoffs clearly and help non-technical stakeholders understand what is and isn't possible — and why it matters.
Uphold and elevate engineering standards: You write code that others can maintain, instrument systems so issues surface before clients notice them, and push for the architectural decisions that prevent tomorrow's technical debt. You understand that in a small team, engineering quality is a shared responsibility and a competitive advantage.
You Are
Highly accountable: You take ownership of your work from concept to maintenance, treating the company's success as your own. You approach challenges with an owner's mindset, taking responsibility for outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of integrity in all you do.
Curious and collaborative: You continuously learn while generously offering help without being asked. You bring a growth mindset to everything you do, passionate about developing your own capabilities while lifting the entire organization in the process.
Comfortable with ambiguity: You navigate uncertainty with confidence and excitement, seeing the opportunity to shape a growing company's foundation. You are independent and self-directed, thriving in an early-stage environment where your impact is immediately visible.
Value-driven: You ship quickly without sacrificing necessary quality. You pragmatically balance speed of iteration with high technical standards, always keeping business impact as your north star when making decisions.
