A career as a data scientist in the risk Strategy modelling team at National Bank means using behavioural data to develop decision-making strategies to support business line growth objectives. as well as projects to develop risk modelling practises at the Bank. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organisation thanks to your statistical and modelling skills and knowledge of credit risk.

Your job

  • Develop and implement statistical models to meet a business need
  • Work in an agile manner by incremental delivery and having the report evaluated based on the comments received
  • Communicate progress weekly
  • Frequently assess the performance of the models/strategies implemented and present recommendations for better risk optimisation

Your team

In the risk models and strategies, Collection, Recovery and Recovery sector, you are part of a large team of 30 colleagues and report to the Senior Manager – risk models and strategies. Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, actuarial science, data science or business analytics
  • Proficiency in statistical/econometric and machine learning models
  • Proficiency in SQL statistics programming tools (R or Python)
  • Knowledge of SAS (asset)
  • Proficiency in the Power BI visualisation tool
  • Understanding of credit and risk management, an asset.
