Job Summary
We are looking for a Shock, Vibration, & Transportation Engineer to ensure the reliability of AI hardware systems, including components, servers, and rack-level products.
This role focuses on transportation validation, mechanical reliability, and packaging performance under real-world conditions. The engineer will be responsible for executing ISTA-based testing, analyzing failures, and providing practical debug solutions to improve product robustness and shipment readiness.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products can safely withstand global logistics environments while meeting performance and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Plan and execute shock, vibration, and transportation tests for AI components, servers, and rack systems
- Develop test plans based on ISTA and ASTM standards and real-world logistics conditions
- Perform testing including:
- Random vibration, sine sweep, and mechanical shock
- Packaged vibration, drop, and incline impact
- Lead packaging validation and shipment strategy:
- Evaluate protection performance vs cost
- Define assembly vs disassembly approach for shipment
- Conduct mechanical inspection and liquid cooling validation:
