Machine Learning Specialist

We're looking for a talented and creative Machine Learning Engineer to help us bring our characters and virtual beings to life!

At Charisma, you'll be responsible for building and deploying models which could lie in a myriad of areas, including text generation, sentiment analysis, entity polarity analysis, sentence relation extraction, emotion classification, intent classification, and speech analysis.

You'll help us build a world-class team and lead machine learning development for the Charisma platform. We'd love you to be enthusiastic about applying machine learning to difficult problems in the conversational and multi-modal spaces to keep our characters one step ahead of our players' imaginations.

You'll be...

Developing, training, testing and validating ML models to give our characters and authors deeper understanding of what players are saying and doing

Creating and cleaning datasets to train models with

Deploying ML models for inference in the cloud in a scalable and performant way, or on-device for privacy and speed

Exploring the state-of-the-art in NLP/NLU

Exploring how best to implement and productise models into our authoring platform Charisma, requiring great UX skills

We'd love you to have...

Extensive experience with one or more ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Torch, Keras)

A knack for identifying good candidate model features from input data

Experience in optimising models, such as quantising/weight reduction with TensorFlow Lite

Developed some of the above-mentioned models before

A vision of how to apply technology to fully immerse players in conversational experiences

An interest in virtual beings, the metaverse, conversational tech, psychology and AI
