About the Role
The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're solving the online identity crisis in a scalable way, pushing innovation in a fast-paced and challenging environment. We're seeking an experienced team member to join our Identity team as a Frontend Engineer.
As part of our Identity team, you will be responsible for building and improving the user-facing components of our real-time Verification Platform, focusing on performance, usability, and scalability. Your role is crucial in designing and developing frontend systems that support Veriff's vision of a reliable and seamless identity verification experience.
You’ll help us protect honest people online by:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of frontend applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a focus on usability and performance
- Collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and product managers
- Supporting efforts to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
- Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback
- Assisting in debugging issues and improving application performance
- Staying up to date with frontend best practices and tools
- Contributing to improvements in development workflows and processes
You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:
- Experience building frontend applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Understanding of how to integrate frontend applications with APIs
- Familiarity with modern frontend tools and workflows
- Basic understanding of frontend architecture and best practices
- Experience writing tests and debugging issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
You’re an especially awesome match if you have:
- Exposure to performance optimisation and responsive design
- Familiarity with testing tools (e.g. Jest, Cypress)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
