About the Role

About Us: We’re a fast growing homebuilder. Our technology team is small, high-impact, and building the systems that will power that growth. We’re not a tech company, we build homes, but we believe the builders who win the next decade will be the ones who use automation and AI better than anyone else in the industry.

The Role: You’ll implement automation and AI across the company. You will be finding where manual work is slowing us down, building the systems that eliminate it, and deploying solutions that make our teams faster and smarter. This is a function we’re committed to growing as the company scales.

You’ll work across sales, construction, finance, and operations to understand how the business actually runs, then build automations and intelligent agents that improve margins, reduce cycle time, and free people to focus on higher-value work.

What You’ll Do: Process Automation

Map and analyze business workflows to identify the highest-ROI automation opportunities.

Build workflow automations that eliminate manual handoffs, reduce errors, and cut cycle time across sales, construction, and back-office operations.

Integrate systems like CRM, ERP, accounting, our internal platform so data flows automatically instead of being manually re-entered.

AI Agents & Intelligent Tools

Design and deploy AI agents that handle real business tasks like document processing, lead qualification, contract review, schedule analysis, and more.

Build practical LLM-powered tools that teams actually use day to day.

Stay current on AI capabilities and identify where new models and tools can solve real problems in homebuilding operations.

Strategy & Prioritization : Partner with the CTO and department leaders to build an automation roadmap prioritized by business impact.

What We’re Looking For : 5–7 years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or a related role with a focus on business process improvement. Strong Python skills and comfort building production systems. Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) prompt engineering, function calling, agent architectures. Experience with workflow automation tools and system integrations (APIs, webhooks, message queues). You think about automation in terms of business outcomes: margin, speed, accuracy. Self-directed- you take initiative and drive projects forward while collaborating with a supportive engineering team.

Nice to Have : Experience in construction, real estate, or a similarly operationally complex industry. Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agent-tool integration patterns. Experience with Django/React applications or similar web frameworks. Background in process mapping or business analysis
