AI Automation Engineer (Python, Agentic AI & Generative AI)
Location: Chennai, India
Strategic Context
Our client is building next‑generation AI‑native Finance platforms leveraging Generative AI and Agentic AI to autonomously execute, optimize, and augment enterprise finance operations. This role will directly contribute to developing production‑grade AI agents, intelligent automation systems, and enterprise‑scale financial AI platforms.
Role Mission
Design and deploy enterprise‑grade Agentic AI systems and Python automation platforms capable of autonomously executing finance workflows, supporting decision‑making, and transforming manual operations into intelligent, self‑optimizing systems.
Core Technical Requirements (Mandatory)
Engineering Foundation:
Strong Python software engineering experience
Experience building and deploying production applications
REST API development (FastAPI / Flask preferred)
Strong SQL and database experience
Experience building scalable ETL/data pipelines
Exposure to distributed systems
Generative AI & Agentic AI (Hands-on Mandatory):
Strong experience implementing RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs / Azure OpenAI
Experience with at least one framework: LangChain / LangGraph / LlamaIndex / CrewAI / AutoGen
Experience with vector databases (Pinecone / FAISS / Weaviate / Chroma)
Experience building autonomous or multi-agent AI systems
Prompt engineering and LLM optimization
Enterprise & Integration Experience:
- Enterprise system integration (ERP/SAP preferred)
Secure AI implementation practices
Production AI deployment experience
Monitoring and observability understanding
Preferred Experience:
Finance automation (AP/AR, reconciliation, reporting workflows)
ERP finance modules exposure
Experience working directly with business stakeholders
