The Role

We are hiring Platform Engineers to design and build self-service developer platforms across multi-technology environments. The role centers on Harness as the delivery backbone (CI/CD, GitOps, feature flags, IaC governance, security testing, cloud cost) and extends into the broader cloud-native stack: Kubernetes, Terraform, observability, and policy-as-code. You will own golden paths that replace ticket-driven operations with platform APIs, shorten time-to-market, and standardize how engineering teams ship software.

You will also lead the rollout of agentic AI across infrastructure, DevOps, and software development. This means defining the runtime, guardrails, and integration patterns for autonomous agents inside Harness pipelines and engineering toolchains, selecting agent frameworks and MCP integrations, and proving measurable productivity gains in production work.

This role combines technical leadership, hands‑on work, and mentorship in an environment that values learning, ownership, and inclusive teamwork.

What you'll do

• Design and build Internal Developer Platforms using Harness as the core: pipelines, environments, feature flags, deployment automation, SBOM and policy enforcement, cost guardrails.
• Build golden paths and reusable templates that cover the full SDLC: source, build, test, security, deploy, observe, and rollback.
• Integrate the platform with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub or GitLab, Nexus or Artifactory, SAST and SCA tooling, and observability stacks (Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
• Lead the introduction of agentic AI at scale: agent runtimes inside Harness pipelines and IaC workflows, MCP-based tool integrations, policies for autonomous decisions and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Define platform contracts, SLOs, and adoption metrics. Treat the platform as a product with real users.
• Mentor application teams, run enablement, and remove friction between Dev, Ops, and Security.

Who You Are

Essential experience

• 3+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with hands-on experience building on Harness in production (CI/CD, GitOps, Feature Flags, or Cloud Cost modules).
• Strong cloud-native background and experience: Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid software engineering skills in at least one of Go, Python, or TypeScript. Comfortable writing production code, not only YAML.
• Professional interest in adopting AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) and a working understanding of agent frameworks and MCP.
• Ability to work in English and Spanish in a professional setting.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Background introducing platform engineering in regulated environments (finance, insurance, public sector).
• Prior work on agentic systems in production, including evaluation, guardrails, and cost control.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments or with strict security/compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications or current pursuit of certification.
• Knowledge or experience in Internal Developer Platforms are valuable and nice to have.
