AI Jobs in India (2026)

Roughly 720 AI and machine learning jobs in India are live on TixelJobs as of September 2026, with about 70 added in the past week. The board tags 38 percent of them as remote, well below the site wide share, so most Indian AI hiring still expects you in an office or on a hybrid schedule. Bangalore is the largest single city and has its own hub; Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi have pages too.

Two title families dominate. Machine learning engineer listings number about 170 and data engineer listings about 140, so together they are more than four in ten of the hub. A smaller cluster of around 50 annotation and data labeling jobs and about 30 MLOps roles rounds out the technical side. Recent postings include senior ML engineers for advertising systems, forward deployed engineers on AI transformation projects, and software engineers in test for agentic AI products.

Capco is the most frequent named employer with about 20 listings, followed by Roku, Five9, Databricks and Instawork. That mix says something about the market: consultancies and US product companies with engineering centers in India post more often than domestic startups do. Mid level roles with two to five years of experience are the biggest band at about 290, senior roles add roughly 200, and there are around 130 lead, manager and architect openings.
