Position Description:
This role focuses on end to end AI engineering rather than pure data science or research. The emphasis is on operationalizing AI in real enterprise environments—where models must integrate with production data pipelines, comply with governance and risk standards, and continuously improve using live data.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in AI platform engineering, understands how to move from experimentation to scale, and can help define what “good” looks like for AI delivery in a regulated financial services environment.

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bridgenext provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as described above. The current salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD annually. Our comprehensive total rewards program goes way beyond a competitive salary.

Bridgenext is seeking an experienced AI / ML Engineer for a large wealth management client to help transition validated AI pilots into scalable, production ready AI capabilities that can be adopted across Marketing, Retail, and future Institutional use cases.
This role focuses on end to end AI engineering rather than pure data science or research. The emphasis is on operationalizing AI in real enterprise environments—where models must integrate with production data pipelines, comply with governance and risk standards, and continuously improve using live data.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in AI platform engineering, understands how to move from experimentation to scale, and can help define what “good” looks like for AI delivery in a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the productionization of AI pilots, taking validated concepts and hardening them for enterprise scale use
- Design and implement end to end AI pipelines, including data ingestion, feature handling, model serving, monitoring, and iteration
- Partner closely with Marketing, Data, and Technology teams to ensure AI solutions support customer growth, personalization, and engagement outcomes
- Establish repeatable patterns and frameworks for deploying AI solutions across multiple marketing and growth use cases
- Support expansion from initial Marketing pilots into broader Retail adoption and future Institutional use cases
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and governance teams to ensure compliance with enterprise, regulatory, and risk standards
- Help shape the AI operating model, including environments, workflows, and handoffs between experimentation and production
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, influencing best practices beyond individual contribution
Workplace: Ideally located near Toronto for a hybrid schedule. Remote within Canada may be considered for strong candidates.
Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years of overall engineering experience, with significant hands on work in AI / ML engineering or applied AI platforms
- Proven experience moving AI or ML solutions from pilot or proof of concept into production at scale
- Strong background in AI/ML pipelines, model lifecycle management, and operationalization (MLOps style thinking; tooling agnostic)
- Experience working with production data, feedback loops, and iterative model improvement in live environments
- Ability to work across disciplines—engineering, data, marketing, architecture, and product—without reliance on rigid requirements
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces, helping define problems as well as solutions
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in financial services, wealth management, insurance, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred

- Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
- High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
- Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
