Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data & AI Ops Engineer to join our client’s technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, integration frameworks, and analytics platforms that support business intelligence, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, data integration, and cloud-based data platforms, with the ability to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and scalability across multiple systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and system owners to deliver high-quality data solutions that support organizational decision-making and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration workflows to support analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability by implementing validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval performance across databases, data lakes, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks, APIs, and data models to enable seamless data flow between enterprise systems.
• Monitor and resolve data-related incidents and service requests in accordance with service level agreements (SLA).
• Participate in planning and execution of data-centric IT projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data flows, schemas, and integration logic to support compliance, audits, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure integration of data solutions with core business applications and external platforms.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, analytics platforms, and AI technologies.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, or analytics platform development.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and pipeline design.
• Experience working with RDBMS and enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of API integration and data exchange protocols such as REST, SOAP, and messaging systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
• Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts, including predictive analytics or chatbot solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,497.99 - RM13,228.28 per month
