About the Role
You will work directly with the founder to build, ship, and iterate on PalUp's product at startup speed. This is not a traditional engineering role — you'll use AI coding tools
(Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as your primary development environment, shipping features in hours that used to take weeks. You'll own features end-to-end: from understanding the
merchant/buyer problem, to implementation, to self-testing on live stores, to deployment.
What You'll Do:
- Build and iterate on production features across the full stack
- Use AI development tools to write, review, and ship code at 5-10x speed
- Think from both merchant and buyer perspectives — not just complete tickets, but shape the product
- Explore new verticals and prototype how our AI agent platform adapts to each domain
What We Look For:
- You judge by results, not by process — you may not write every line of code, but you know instantly whether the product feels right, the UX is polished, and the output meets
professional standards
- You've used AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) and understand how to direct them to produce high-quality results efficiently
- You have sharp product instinct — you can switch perspectives on the fly depending on the scenario. Not just "think like a user" — you naturally see a problem from whatever
angle matters most in the moment
- You're genuinely curious about how things work — you dig until you understand, not because someone asked you to, but because you can't help it. That curiosity is what makes you a fast learner across any domain
- You're allergic to half-finished work — you verify the result yourself before anyone else sees it
- You move fast and communicate concisely — async updates, not lengthy status meetings
Nice to Have:
- Experience with LLM applications (prompt engineering, RAG, agent architectures)
