We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and AI integration to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services that power our enterprise applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure solutions are delivered.
Location: Mexico (Remote)
Qualifications we are looking for:
- 5–8 years of experience in backend software engineering
- Expert-level knowledge of Java & Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, Terraform, and JFrog Artifactory
- Deep understanding of Message Queue (MQ) systems
- Proven experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into backend architectures
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, Prompt Engineering, or RAG pipelines
- Experience with AI orchestration, vector databases, or AI-driven API endpoints
- Experience working with LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models
- (Plus) Cloud experience in GCP (Dataflow, BigQuery) or Azure (Event Hub)
- (Plus) Python skills for AI/data processing or automation scripts
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot
- Build and operate message-driven systems using MQ technologies
- Integrate AI/ML models and LLM APIs into production backend systems
- Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, vector database integrations, and AI-powered API endpoints
- Lead technical decisions and architecture discussions within the team
- Mentor junior engineers and uphold code quality through reviews
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and handle artifact pipelines via JFrog Artifactory
- Collaborate with data science, product, and platform teams on AI-driven features
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve system performance and reliability
