About the Role
Jnr AI Specialist (Call Centre BPO)
Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico, US
Our client is looking for a Junior AI Specialist to support the design, development, and optimisation of conversational AI solutions within a BPO environment. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in chatbots, voice bots, NLP, and AI-driven customer interactions, working closely with senior AI specialists and engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing basic conversation flows and dialog trees for conversational AI platforms
- Support configuration and maintenance of Amazon Connect, Genesys, or similar platforms
- Assist with NLU training, prompt engineering, and LLM experimentation (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Execute predefined test cases and document AI performance and user interactions
- Monitor basic system metrics and compile reports on customer engagement and AI performance
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to support solution delivery and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field
- 0–2 years’ experience through internships, academic projects, or personal AI projects
- Multilingual in atleast English and Spanish
- Interest in conversational AI, chatbots, or voice assistants
- Exposure to Python (required) and JavaScript (advantageous)
- Familiarity with NLP/NLU concepts and tools (e.g. Rasa, Dialogflow)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Exposure to speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies is beneficial
- Comfortable working in agile teams and using version control (Git/GitHub)
