Job Title: AI Engineer – Agentic Systems (Python / GCP)

Job Location: Chennai (Client Site)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer – Agentic Systems with strong expertise in Python, Generative AI frameworks, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and implement advanced multi-agent AI solutions. The role focuses on building stateful agentic workflows, integrating large language models (LLMs) with enterprise systems, and deploying scalable AI services on cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, vector databases, and GCP AI services, and will play a key role in developing production-ready AI applications that integrate with enterprise data platforms. This position involves close collaboration with product owners, business stakeholders, and platform teams to deliver robust and scalable AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Agentic Workflow Development: Design and implement complex, stateful multi-agent systems using LangGraph and Google ADK.

· AI Integration: Implement the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect LLMs with secure, local, or remote data sources and enterprise tools.

· Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and deploy AI models and microservices on GCP using Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.

· Backend Development: Build and maintain robust REST APIs in Python to expose AI capabilities to front-end applications and external services.

· Data Orchestration: Develop and manage data pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval mechanisms using BigQuery and vector databases within the GCP ecosystem.

· Optimization: Fine-tune prompts, optimize LLM latency, and monitor the performance of AI agents in production environments.

· Collaboration: Participate in requirement gathering sessions with product owners, business SMEs, and platform teams.

· Documentation: Prepare technical documentation including solution design, installation guides, configuration steps, and operational runbooks.

· Production Support: Provide hypercare support during initial production rollout, handle incidents, and implement fixes.

· Version Control & CI/CD: Maintain code quality using Git, follow branching strategies, and participate in automated CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

· Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in software development with exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI projects.

· Programming: Strong expertise in Python, including asynchronous programming, FastAPI/Flask, and Pydantic.

· Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangGraph (cyclic workflows/state management) and LangChain.

· Google Cloud: Strong experience working with GCP services, including Vertex AI, Model Garden, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.

· Agent Development: Experience with the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).

· AI Connectivity: Experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) for standardized agent-data interactions.

· API Development: Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration with third-party services.

· Vector Databases: Experience with vector search systems such as Vertex AI Search and Conversation, Pinecone, or Weaviate.

· RAG Architectures: Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and evaluation frameworks.

· Model Familiarity: Familiarity with Google Gemini family of models.

· DevOps Tools: Strong knowledge of Git (branching strategies, PR reviews) and containerization using Docker/Kubernetes.

Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
