Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions.
• This role is ideal for experienced Data Engineers who can take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to enterprise-grade data platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines on Azure
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Azure Databricks and PySpark
• Implement and manage ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory
• Develop, tune, and maintain complex T‑SQL queries and data models
• Work with SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting solutions
• Implement and manage data governance and access controls using Unity Catalog
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and performance across platforms
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to understand data requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines and platform components
• Follow best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in T‑SQL
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (strong proficiency required)
• Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
• Strong working knowledge of SSIS and SSRS
• Experience working with Unity Catalog for data governance
• Strong background in data engineering and data platform development
• Experience with Azure Data Lake and cloud-based data architecture

 

Good to Have Skills

• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Exposure to CI/CD for data pipelines
• Familiarity with data security and compliance best practices

Required Experience

• 8–13 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• Proven experience working on Azure-based data platforms
• Strong hands-on experience in building enterprise-scale data solutions
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex data engineering initiatives
