Job Description

We are seeking part-time Education Consultants with strong expertise working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in K–12 settings. These consultants will deliver product-agnostic professional learning (PL) focused on AI fundamentals and building AI fluency among educators and leaders. 

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in K–12 instruction, adult learning, and safe/appropriate implementation of AI tools in schools. This role includes both remote and onsite support, with some travel required. 

Consultants are available to accept virtual and onsite assignments, on a regular basis, throughout the year. Consultants are expected to learn and become proficient in Renaissance products and solutions. Consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis and paid an hourly rate with reimbursements for travel and related expenses.  

Note: All consultants must be available for onboarding, internal learning and maintain a flexible schedule with availability up to 20 hours a week during non-peak season and up to 40 hours a week during peak season (July-Oct).  This part‑time role requires consistent availability during scheduled training engagements, which may occur during standard school or business hours.

Key Responsibilities 

Professional Learning & Facilitation 

  • Deliver engaging, product‑agnostic AI professional learning for educators, school leaders, and district teams, focused on building AI fluency across educator and student populations 
  • Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and implementation meetings that support schools as they integrate AI into instructional practice. 
  • Customize and deliver on-site and/or virtual professional learning experiences that meet client needs and exceed expectations. 
  • Effectively guide and pivot conversations based on customer needs during professional learning sessions. 
  • Present a professional, supportive, and inclusive presence in all virtual and onsite interactions. 

Implementation Support & Collaboration 

  • Support customers remotely and onsite to monitor progress, identify next steps, and provide ongoing guidance. 
  • Provide insight to educators on ways to strengthen instructional practices and leverage AI responsibly and effectively. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, maintaining clear communication and alignment across all stages of implementation. 
  • Analyze client feedback, engagement data, and key metrics to continuously improve facilitation and delivery. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all work, including training logs, planning notes, and follow-up actions. 

Professional Growth & Organizational Contribution  

  • Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current on AI advancements, instructional best practices, facilitation skills, and relevant state or national guidance. 
  • Partner with internal teams to build AI fluency across the organization, providing coaching, resources, and guidance to support collective growth. 

 For this Contractor role, you must have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in AI use cases in K–12 education, including instructional, operational, and student‑centered applications. 
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, safety, governance, and guardrails. 
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating professional learning for adult learners. 
  • Strong communication, organization, and project‑management skills. 
  • Ability to tailor content for varied educator audiences and facilitate effectively both virtually and in person. 
  • Familiarity with common AI tools and the ability to teach them in a tool‑agnostic way. 
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. 
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement. 
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office or similar tools; ability to learn new technologies quickly. 
  • Ability to travel as needed. 

Preferred 

  • Experience working in a SaaS company.
