Job Summary
We are building an AI-driven fashion and beauty platform that merges social discovery, commerce, and intelligent styling tools. Our vision is to make shopping effortless through AI-powered personalization, product recognition, and interactive styling experiences.

We are currently building advanced AI features to enhance the customers' shopping experience and to enable small - middle sized brands to get featured for their value.

We are looking for a strong technical builder to join as a founding engineer and be able to lead backend architecture and AI feature implementation.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend systems
• Architect AI feature integrations (LLM APIs, vision models, classification models)
• Implement intelligent matching and recommendation logic
• Optimize performance, caching, and API cost control
• Collaborate closely with product on translating PRDs into production systems
• Own deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure decisions
• Contribute to long-term AI roadmap

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Experience with full-stack frameworks (Next.js / React preferred)
• Experience or knowledge working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vision models, etc.)
• Understanding of system architecture, scalability, and caching strategies
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Supabase, Firebase, etc.)
• Startup mindset! — comfortable with ambiguity and enthusiastic mindset
• Ability to translate product specs into technical execution

Bonus:

• Experience building AI recommendation systems
• Experience with image recognition or computer vision
• Experience in commerce or marketplace platforms

As an early-stage startup, we are currently prioritizing product development and infrastructure investment. At this stage, we are not offering a traditional salary or hourly compensation.

Instead, we are offering meaningful long-term upside through equity and revenue participation.

This role is designed for someone who believes in building from the ground up and wants ownership rather than short-term compensation. As we grow, your stake grows. As the platform scales, your participation scales with it.

We are building this as a long-term venture, and we are looking for a partner-minded engineer who values shared growth, aligned incentives, and strategic ownership.

Contract length: 4-6 months

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
