About the Role
Hellogeo Technologies Pvt Ltd is looking for a passionate and skilled AI Engineer who can fine-tune foundational models and build custom AI/ML models from scratch. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning, along with a basic understanding of integrating AI models into full-stack applications.
You will work on real-world geospatial and computer vision problems, including satellite and drone imagery analysis.
Key Responsibilities
-Fine-tune large foundational models (LLMs, vision models, multimodal models) for domain-specific applications
- Design, develop, and train custom ML/DL models from scratch
-Work on computer vision tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and defect detection
-Develop AI solutions for geospatial applications (e.g., solar panel detection from aerial/satellite imagery)
-Perform data preprocessing, annotation validation, and geospatial data handling
-Evaluate model performance and optimize accuracy, recall, precision, and inference speed
-Deploy models into production environments
-Integrate AI/ML models with backend systems and full-stack applications
-Collaborate with GIS and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI-driven solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development
Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience fine-tuning foundational models (Transformers, Vision models, etc.)
Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, OpenCV)
Experience in object detection and image segmentation models (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, U-Net, etc.)
Understanding of model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and experimentation
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and model deployment
Basic understanding of integrating AI models with full-stack applications (React/Node.js/Django/FastAPI or similar)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of GIS concepts and geospatial data formats (GeoTIFF, Shapefiles, etc.)
Experience working with satellite or drone imagery
Experience in solar panel detection using aerial imagery
Experience in defect detection (e.g., panel damage, cracks, hotspots) using computer vision
Familiarity with geospatial tools and libraries (QGIS, GDAL, Rasterio, etc.)
Exposure to MLOps practices and model monitoring
Experience with vector databases and embeddings (for geospatial or multimodal search)
