About the Role

AI & Business Process Engineer

At Level Access, we believe AI should create meaningful, measurable impact for employees and leaders, not just experimentation. We are looking for an AI & Business Process Engineer to help transform how our People organization operates by designing and building AI-powered automations that reduce administrative burden, improve scalability, and create capacity across the People team.

This role will partner closely with teams across HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Enablement, Internal Communications, Compensation, and EPMO to redesign and automate workflows that improve employee and manager experiences while enabling the People team to operate more strategically.

You will not simply automate existing processes. You will partner with stakeholders to understand the underlying business problem, redesign workflows where needed, and build scalable solutions that simplify work and improve operational effectiveness.

You will also help strengthen the operational foundations required for successful AI adoption by improving the quality, structure, and accessibility of People data, documentation, and processes that power automation workflows.

Our environment is primarily built within the Microsoft ecosystem, and we are looking for someone who can maximize the capabilities of tools like Copilot and Power Platform while thoughtfully evaluating where additional platforms or integrations make sense.

This role reports to the Chief People Officer and partners closely with the Technology team to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

What You’ll Do

Design and Build AI-Powered Automations

  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, reduce operational friction, and improve productivity across the People organization
  • Map current-state workflows, identify root problems, and redesign processes before automating them
  • Build and maintain automation workflows primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot, Power Automate, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and related AI capabilities, while also leveraging tools such as Zapier or other platforms where appropriate based on business needs, scalability, and cost effectiveness
  • Integrate systems across HR, recruiting, enablement, communications, and operational workflows
  • Create scalable workflows that are reliable, measurable, maintainable, and secure
  • Continuously monitor, improve, and iterate on solutions after launch

Support AI Adoption Across the People Team

  • Partner with People leaders and stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases across day-to-day work
  • Help employees adopt and extend the solutions you create by documenting workflows and enabling users effectively
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders
  • Help establish scalable AI practices and operational standards within the People organization

Improve Process and Data Foundations

  • Assess process quality, documentation standards, and data readiness to support scalable automation
  • Help improve operational consistency and workflow clarity across the People function
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to simplify processes and improve employee experience
  • Support governance, documentation, and operational best practices related to AI-enabled workflows

Areas of Focus May Include

  • Automating onboarding and employee lifecycle workflows
  • Streamlining recruiting coordination and candidate communications
  • Creating AI-enabled manager and employee self-service experiences
  • Simplifying reporting, data collection, and recurring operational tasks
  • Supporting enablement content creation and knowledge management
  • Improving internal communication workflows and process documentation
  • Building workflow automation across HR systems, collaboration tools, and business platforms

What Success Looks Like

  • Manual administrative work is significantly reduced across the People team
  • The People organization operates faster, more consistently, and with greater scalability
  • Employees and managers have simpler, more intuitive experiences
  • AI and automation solutions are actively adopted and embedded into daily workflows
  • Processes become easier to maintain, measure, and improve over time

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Enjoy solving operational and business problems as much as building technical solutions
  • Naturally look for root causes instead of automating broken processes
  • Like working autonomously and building from scratch in a fast-moving environment
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Get excited about practical AI adoption and operational transformation
  • Prefer building solutions that create measurable business outcomes, not just prototypes

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience mapping, redesigning, and improving business processes
  • Hands-on experience building automation workflows within platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar automation ecosystems
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks, integrations, and business systems
  • Practical experience applying AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies in real business workflows
  • Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping shape a new capability within a growing organization
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend automation and AI tools pragmatically based on business impact, user experience, scalability, security, and cost

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a SaaS or technology company
  • Familiarity with HR systems, recruiting platforms, LMS tools, or collaboration systems
  • Experience measuring automation impact, including time savings, adoption, quality improvements, or error reduction
  • Exposure to change management, enablement, or process documentation initiatives
  • Experience supporting AI governance or operational enablement programs
